Melinda Forward is a National Board Certified Teacher with 27 years of experience teaching, presenting workshops, and developing curriculum. April 1, 2017 Melinda gave a TED talk on 1,000 Thank Yous and spread the idea of gratitude as a radical tool for change in schools.
In this workshop, she teaches leaders simple, yet powerful, strategies and techniques she developed while working with students in Title I schools. She will share invaluable project guides and step-by-step instructions to empower their students as leaders in social change in their schools, using kindness as a tool. Learn from an educator in action! Melinda will connect you with local civic projects to connect your students with community members in action.
This Training is Practical yet Research-based
Each of these tools is supported by specific research. Over the course of the two days, you will learn the connections between neuroscience, Social-Emotional Intelligence, and The Whole Child Approach as they support each of the Three Tools. You will know the WHY, the WHAT, and the HOW!
